Eagle's Nest

|
French Soldiers from the 2nd Division Tank Unit got to the Eagle's Nest first, 1 day earlier than the Americans from 101st Airborne Easy Company. This fact was not mentioned in the famous 'Band of Brothers' series. The initials on the bunker wall stated that the French was there on the 5th of May 1945.
